And because sugar contains no nutrition, high sugar foods are not ideal for health or weight control.

As mentioned above teenagers have an aggressive approach towards life. If weight loss gets into their mind they will do anything to achieve it. They start starvation weeks loose about 7-8 pounds, and then develop a huge mass of spots. Point is, when we stop eating, we stop giving our body the goodness it needs to stay healthy.
