On an average most of us want to get into shape. Now that may be a relative term but every one of points towards the same culprits when asked to point out the names, improper eating habits and lack of exercises. Both these problems though may look hard to change but with proper Guidance, Determination (motivation) and Hard Work can be eradicated. We’ll refer to these three as the GDH policy. So whenever you are starting a diet, look for these three components to be well placed in it.

Firstly we must understand the whole diet has to begin with our mind. You must believe that you can arrange and manage a healthy diet which is the first step towards a healthier diet. So leave no scope for discouragement and remember that a healthy diet has nothing to do with chances luck etc. but with proper works and is based on solid facts which makes it a sure shot solution.

So you must trust in your in yourself and your diet. This trust will encourage you to follow it.

Now proper guidance comes into the picture. For this you must first understand what are wrong in your regular diet, this you can do simply by analyzing the effect it has on you and your family.

To ensure that the diet that you are designing for your family is good enough for your children and family ensure that it has the right contents. For example there should be at least three helpings of protein rich food in the diet. Many people do not eat chicken etc. For them there are a multitude options like soy beans, pulses etc.

Similarly, another common dietary mistake is the lack of calcium which builds and maintains the bones and also prevents colon cancer. The richest source of calcium are the varieties of dairy products. Though rarely but still some of you may not want to consume dairy roducts in such case soy products and certain fresh vegetables can fulfill the calcium need of your body.

Then comes the usual things that every parent say to their little children “Eat your fruit and vegetables”. Fruits and vegetables are the most valuable component of their diet since consuming them in right quantities can go along way towards fulfilling all your vitamin and mineral needs and what more most of them are rich in fibers and low in fat and thus have less of calories.

So you can see that that you can make healthy diets with all these components placed in the right quantities in the diet. Also remember while cooking your food to use less fat and to try and not adding too much table fats later on. Have a great time eating and enjoying the exotic flavors of the gifts of nature.
